Braids

Braids

The oldest. The one who opened the sketchbook first.

Braids started this site out of boredom in 2004. She made pixels after midnight in Adobe Photoshop 7 and posted them like secrets. She still wears the monster slippers and will fight you if you call them ugly. Favorite color is hot pink. She says she doesn’t keep a diary, but this whole site is one. She blows kisses when she’s proud and pretends she isn’t. Snacks: anything small and stolen from the kitchen. She is the boss, even when she says she isn’t.

Heart Hands

Heart Hands

Soft, sparkly, a little shy.

Heart Hands collects stickers, leftover layouts, and other people’s compliments that she never knows how to answer. She used to give away free pixels to strangers on the old internet and got shy when they said thank you. She believes every page needs a heart somewhere. If you find one hidden in a corner, that was her. She likes slow songs, flower clips, and sitting next to Braids without talking. She cries at guestbooks. She would hide under a table before she would start a fight.

Stripes

Stripes

Peace sign. Trouble. Good hair.

Stripes showed up later and refused to sit still. He clicks things. He leaves comments. He makes the peace sign in photos even when nobody asked. GreyMatter confused him. WordPress confuses him less. He is the reason the guestbook exists. He pretends he doesn’t care about the drawings and then stares at them the longest. He will tease Heart Hands and then immediately panic if she looks sad. Favorite move: wink, peace, run.

Baby

Baby

Pacifier, bottle, still new here.

Baby is the newest. The site came back in 2026 and so did Baby. He does not know what Friendster was. He knows hearts, milk, and that the sketchbook is safe. When the page loads, he is usually the one already online, blinking at the screen. He drops the bottle on purpose. He thinks the visitor counter is a toy. He copies whatever Braids does, two seconds later and worse. Bedtime is a suggestion. Everyone is a little softer when he’s on the page.
